David Austin, Data Systems Manager
David comes to HNUSR having served as Cyber Security Analyst and Network Engineer as a government contractor for TekSystems, Inc. and 22nd Centuries Technology, respectively. He is a highly technical and ambitious U.S. Army veteran with over 10 years of experience in Computer Network Defense. As a civilian, he is passionate about using his expertise to work in the nonprofit arena, particularly as it relates to working with children and families in at-risk communities.
David serves the HNUSR as Data Systems Manager and oversees the development of architectures, policies, practices and procedures to manage the full data lifecycle needs of the HNUSR. He is responsible for both data quality and compatibility between data models working with the executive, administrative, and operations teams to understand reporting needs of each department. David is also responsible for coordinating all IT needs with a third-party IT provider and overseeing software vendor relations.
David holds the Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Alabama State University.
