Collas Washington, Talent Acquisition & Volunteer Coordinator

Collas is a highly personable and experienced professional educator. He has spent his career in Title I schools and has a true love and commitment for ensuring the uplift of all children. He has taught at the elementary and middle school level and has served as Assistant Principal.

As the Talent Acquisition & Volunteer Coordinator, Collas ensures that the HNUSR recruits and retains high-performing Servant Leader Interns (SLIs), Site Coordinators (SCs) and volunteer staff for all CDF Freedom Schools programs. As an educational administrator, he knows how to distinguish talent ensuring that Freedom School programs are always staffed with the best and most reliable individuals and that they are greatly utilized for the fulfillment of the HNUSR mission.

Collas received the Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership & Administration from Alabama A&M University and the Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education & Teaching from Oakwood University.
