Mildred Stiger, Office Manager
Mildred comes to the HNUSR after over thirty years of experience in government and academic libraries at the U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, AL; U.S. Army War College; U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and, Alabama A&M University. She has excellent teambuilding, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
Mildred oversees the day-to-day activities of the office by carrying out duties such as providing adequate support to staff and ensuring the management of office equipment and supplies to ensure they are always available in good condition for use. She is responsible for the smooth flow of work processes at the office and is a multitasker, with the ability to work on several requests simultaneously without losing focus.
Mildred holds the Bachelor of Science degree in History and the Master of Library Science degree, both from Alabama A&M University.
